from Kroller Muller Museum

this Kaki Tree has a historical and symbolic significance.
It is cutting from the tree that survived the atomic bomb at Nagasaki.
The contemporary artist Tatsuo Miyajima has conated the cutting to
the Kroller-Muller Museum on the occasion of
the exhibition IKIRO/Be Alive in 2001.
The artist is planting cuttings from this tree
all over the world as a message of peace.
